Connecting to a Live RMC150 with RMCTools
Connect using a Sample Project
Use RMCTools to connect to a live RMC150. This method uses a sample project that is already set up with proper internal simulator and tuning values for each axis and has a few user programs. It will connect to rmc150.deltamotion.com.
- Download and install RMCTools.
- Download and unzip this RMC150 sample project: online_rmc150.zip. Unzip the file to an easy-to-remember location, such as the Desktop.
- Open RMCTools.
- In the Startup dialog, choose Browse for an Existing Project and click Browse.
- Browse to the Delta Online RMC150.rmcproj that you just unzipped and click Open, then OK.
- In the Project pane, right-click the RMC150 and choose Go Online. If any Conflict dialogs appear, click Download if it is available, otherwise, click Upload. If prompted, choose Save all Settings to Flash.
- If RMCTools cannot connect, try connecting a few more times. If it still fails, check your internet connection settings, including the firewall (RMCTools uses TCP port 44818 for the main communications, and port 1324 to browse for controllers on the Ethernet network).
