Delta Motion Expands Customer Training with New EtherCAT Course

New instructor-lead, hands-on EtherCAT training helps engineers confidently deploy high-performance motion control systems.

Battle Ground, WA – September 29, 2026 – Delta Motion, a leading manufacturer of high-performance motion controllers, is expanding its training offerings with the introduction of its new RMC EtherCAT Training course. Designed for machine builders, system integrators, and engineers, the new instructor-led training provides practical, hands-on experience configuring and commissioning EtherCAT networks with Delta Motion's RMC200 Motion Controller.

The approximately five-hour course can be taken in-person, or remotely through a Live Online Training (LOT) course, as a standalone class, or combined with Delta Motion's existing motion control training programs, giving customers the flexibility to tailor their learning experience to their specific applications and experience level.

As EtherCAT continues to see growing adoption across industrial applications, the new course equips users with the knowledge and confidence needed to integrate EtherCAT devices into advanced motion control systems.

During the training, each participant receives exclusive access to a dedicated training system featuring an RMC200 Motion Controller connected to connected to a simple EtherCAT network consisting of an EtherCAT servo drive and motor, and an EtherCAT position sensor. Remote attendees see live video of the hardware that they are controlling. Through a combination of instructor presentations, demonstrations, and guided laboratory exercises, trainees gain real-world experience configuring EtherCAT devices, mapping PDO data, commissioning motion axes, troubleshooting networks, and using EtherCAT data within RMCTools.
