October 22, 2004 – Vancouver, WA. – Delta Computer Systems President Peter Nachtwey was a featured speaker at the Fluid Power Distributor Association 30th Anniversary Fall Meeting held in St. Louis, Missouri October 17th and 18th. The Theme of this years meeting was "Technologies in Motion" as it relates to Hydraulic and Pneumatic industrial and mobile applications.
The 2004 Fall Meeting provided a look at what’s on the horizon for hydraulic and pneumatic technologies and automation and motion control solutions: the technologies that will provide customer solutions in the future. The Fall Meeting also featured Tech Expo, showcasing motion technology products which complement and expand the capabilities of traditional fluid power components.
Mr. Nachtwey’s presentation "What’s ahead in Motion Control Technology", focused on motion control advances specific to product trends like Connectivity, High Level Diagnostics, Flexibility, Ease of Use, Product Support and Training. Conclusions are that motion control product development will continue to advance due to new technologies (i.e., Ethernet/IP) and combine with real world experience gained by ever increasing closed loop motion controls applications in fluid power.
As an FPDA manufacturing associate member, Delta also exhibited in the Tech Expo with Mr. Nachtwey presenting at a second Technical Seminar covering ceramic press applications using Delta’s flagship RMC100 motion controller.
