EtherCAT Diagnostics

To access the EtherCAT Diagnostics window:
In the Project View, right-click the EtherCAT node, then select Start EtherCAT Diagnostics.
Or, in the EtherCAT Editor, on the toolbar, click the Start EtherCAT Diagnostics button.

Use the EtherCAT Diagnostics to monitor the EtherCAT network, such as viewing the state of the network devices and the actual data on the network. To create or edit the network, use the EtherCAT Editor.

The panes of the EtherCAT Diagnostics are the EtherCAT Explorer, the Device Editor, and Messages.

EtherCAT Explorer Pane

Use the Explorer pane to select devices in order view data in the Device Editor tabs.

Device Editor Pane

Use the Device Editor to view data individual devices. For each device, the Device Editor has several tabs. Not all EtherCAT devices will have all tabs. See each tab topic for details.
