To access this window: In the EtherCAT Diagnostics, in the EtherCAT Explorer pane, click a SubDevice in the list, then click the DC Diagnostics tab.
The DC Diagnostics tab of the EtherCAT Diagnostics provides status on the Distributed Clock Synchronization, if supported by the SubDevice.
Sync Pulse Active:
Yes
Indicates that DC synchronization is active.
No
Indicates that DC synchronization is not active. Either the SubDevice has not been configured for DC synchronization (see the EtherCAT Editor Distributed Clocks tab), or there is an error in the SubDevice.
DC Sync 0 Period:
This is the configured period for the DC-base interrupt signal SYNC0. This typically matches the RMCs loop time.
DC Sync 1 Period:
This is the configured period for the DC-base interrupt signal SYNC1. This is often not used by SubDevices.
System Time Difference:
The time difference of the SubDevice clock to the reference clock. The option “Sync Window Monitoring” must be enabled on the MainDevice Distributed Clocks tab.
