January 27, 2006 – Vancouver, WA – Delta Computer Systems, Inc. announces a new and powerful communications tool, the RMCLink ActiveX Control and .NET Assembly.
The RMCLink component enables direct access from Windows-based PCs providing full functionality to read and write registers plus the ability to read bits and issue commands to all Delta RMC70- and RMC100-Series motion controllers. Direct connection occurs via serial port or Ethernet access.
Numerous applications can quickly benefit from RMCLink due to its breadth of sample programs and elegant multi-language support. Data acquisition and testing applications will appreciate the Virtual Instrument (VI) components for National Instruments’ LabVIEWTM, a product often used with RMC motion controllers in NDT and cyclical testing applications.
"We put a lot of effort into making RMCLink intuitive to use from all languages and providing a rich set of sample programs and walkthroughs in our online help," said Delta software engineer, Quinton Tormanen. "We are confident that our customers will agree that RMCLink sets new standards for ease-of-use in PC-to-motion-controller communications."
The RMCLink ActiveX Control and .NET Assembly provides several interfaces making it exceptionally easy to use from a variety of languages and applications. Languages include Visual C#, Visual Basic .NET, Visual J#, Visual C++, Visual Basic 5.0/6.0, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), LabVIEW and more.
