EtherCAT Editor: Ethernet Tab

To access this window: In the EtherCAT Editor, in the EtherCAT Explorer pane, click a SubDevice in the list, then click the Ethernet tab.

Use the Ethernet tab to enable and configure Ethernet over EtherCAT (EoE). For more details, see the Ethernet over EtherCAT (EoE) topic.

Ethernet

Check the Ethernet box to enable EoE support. The following options are provided:

Virtual MAC address

If Auto is checked, the virtual MAC address will be generated from the Station Address. For example, if the Station Address is “1010” (= 0x03F2), it will generate the Virtual MAC address “01 00 00 00 03 F2”.
Time Stamp Requested

The SubDevice will respond with the exact send time and the same Frame Number and will respond as soon as possible.
Port Mode

The SubDevice can run in Switch Port or IP Port mode. Chose IP Port to set the IPAddress from EtherCAT.

Overwrite IP Settings

If this box is checked, all the IP settings in the SubDevice will be overwritten with these values.
