Note: The RMCENET and RMCCOM ActiveX controls for the RMC100 have been superseded by the RMCLink ActiveX Control and .Net Assembly. Delta recommends that new applications use RMCLink instead of RMCENET or RMCCOM. RMCLink is much easier to use from a variety of progamming languages.
RMCENET and RMCCOM Overview
The RMCCOM and RMCENET ActiveX control the RMC100 from your custom Visual Basic and VBA (e.g. Excel) programs. These ActiveX controls provide an interface of methods and properties for reading and writing data from the RMC.
Choose the ActiveX control for your communication type:
ActiveX Control | Communication Type |
---|---|
RMCENET | Ethernet |
RMCCOM | Serial RS-232/485 |
Sample Programs
Sample VB5, VB6 and/or VB.NET programs illustrate how to use the ActiveX controls. The ActiveX Controls require Internet Explorer 3.0 or newer to be installed before installing the controls. Windows NT users will need to have Power User or Administrative privileges to install these controls as well.
