We offer technical training that can accommodate any user's schedule, skill level, or needs.

Instructor-Led Courses

  • Live Online Training (Instructor Led)
    Experience immersive hands-on training with a live motion controller through online sessions. This instructor-led training is our most sought-after course, which spans over a duration of 2 days, totaling 8 hours.
  • Classroom Training
    In-person training either at Delta's dedicated facility or at an offsite location of your choice. This comprehensive training program spans over a period of 2 or 3 days, with each day consisting of 8 hours of engaging instruction.
  • Custom Training
    Customized training tailored to your needs. Contact us or your Regional Sales Managers for details.

    In conjunction with our training videos, gain remote access to a Delta Motion PC and connect to an actual RMC motion controller. This enables you to actively engage in practical exercises that align with the content covered in the training videos.

Technical Training Courses

Hands-on, Instructor-Led Internet Training

Online TrainingDelta provides 2-day, 4 hour/day Live Online Training Courses that are fully interactive with an actual Delta RMC motion controller for each student (accessed via Internet). The hands-on, instructor-led training covers setup, tuning, programming and diagnostics of RMC motion controllers for closed loop position and velocity control through a series of lessons and lab exercises.

Course Material, Lab Sessions, and Structure

The class consists of technical training on the RMC70, RMC150, RMC200, or RMC100 motion controllers. Each eight-hour class will be spread over two consecutive days, and includes labs and breaks.

  • Times are typically 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Pacific Time. The times and content can be modified to accommodate special situations.

  • Typical topics include the setup, tuning, programming, and diagnostics of an RMC controller. Customized courses can be developed based on specific customer requests.

  • Lab manuals and guides will be mailed to attendees prior to sessions.

Delivery Method and Participant Requirements

Free Microsoft software and a standard telephone connection or microphone and speakers is used to deliver the training session.

All participants must verify that they have a working high-speed internet connection, can connect to an RMC provided for the training, and connect to the GoToMeeting session before the scheduled training begins. Connection instructions and the required software will be provided by Delta when the participant registers for the class.

Do-It-Yourself Training Options

Online, at your own pace

  1. View Training Videos – any time at no charge
    The Training Videos are designed to teach you the basics of the RMC75, RMC150, and RMC200 motion controllers. Requires contact information only.
  2. Access remote computer connected to an RMC for exercises
    Schedule one week of time on a remote PC at Delta connected to an RMC controller, and receive a training exercises packet to use together with the videos. See pricing below.
    A Delta instructor will assist you in connecting to a computer running at Delta on which you will run RMCTools software and connect to an RMC motion controller. You will have access to the remote PC and motion controller from Monday 12:00 noon to Sunday 12:00 Midnight (Pacific Time, UTC-8), and can contact the Delta instructor during that time if you need assistance.

Sign Up for Self-Paced Training

Sign up to reserve time on a remote PC at Delta connected to an RMC controller, and to receive exercises for use with the self-paced videos. To just view the videos, you do not need to sign up.

  1. Access for a week is available from Monday 12:00 noon to Sunday 12:00 Midnight (Pacific Time, UTC-8).
  2. Register to sign up for self-paced training and provide credit card payment.

Connection to Remote PC with RMC

You will remotely connect to a computer located at Delta. A Delta trainer will assist you in setting up the connection. You will have access for one week, beginning on Monday at noon Pacific time.

The remote computer is pre-loaded with the RMCTools software. An RMC75E motion controller is connected to the computer via USB. If you need to learn the RMC150 or RMC200, don’t worry – learning on the RMC75 is virtually the same as the RMC150 or RMC200.

If you encounter problems during the self-paced training, you may contact the Delta instructor for assistance.

A high-speed internet connection is required.

Delta provides access to RMCs that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via the Internet. All you need is a PC running Delta's motion control software and an internet connection!
