Delta’s New RMC70 Series Motion Controllers Offer More Value for One- and Two-Axis Applications

January 15, 2004 – Vancouver, WA - The new RMC70 Series motion controllers from Delta Computer Systems, Inc. offer attractive price/performance for one-axis and two-axis systems.

The initial version to be delivered, the RMC75S-MA1 is oriented toward linear motion control and includes RS232/485 Serial communications and interfaces to these absolute position transducers: MDT (magnetostrictive displacement transducer), and SSI (synchronous serial interface).

The RMC70 Series targets hydraulic, pneumatic and electric servo motion control applications with position, velocity and position/pressure control capabilities. As with Delta’s other motion controllers, the RMC70 includes powerful software for easy setup, tuning, programming and diagnostics.

Steve Nylund, Delta’s CEO stated, “The exciting all-new RMC70 product complements Delta’s flagship RMC100 family and expands Delta markets by offering even more value for one and two axis applications.”

Production is on schedule for early 2004 following a successful customer test cycle conducted in late 2003. Pricing is under $1,000 per axis depending on quantity. As always, the RMC Series motion controllers are backed by Delta’s unsurpassed 24/7 customer support.
